The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life

The wizard Rain is suddenly expelled from his guild. However, far from despairing, he declares, “Now I can do anything!” and, having recovered the vast amount of enhancement points he once poured into the guild members’ equipment, begins a new path as an adventurer.

People with wounds that are not easily healed gather around him: a genius adventurer who closed himself off after his comrades were wiped out, a warrior who lost his family, and an assassin raised as a killer from a young age. But Rain never rejects their pasts or wounds, instead accepting them with his bright, straightforward warmth.

The setting is a unique fantasy world where Uzis, pachinko, and even yakuza coexist. However, in this world, the more people rely on convenient technology, the weaker magic becomes, and the more fragile adventurers become.

While intelligent and ferocious monsters roam freely, the underworld is rife with greed and ambition, and intrigue and betrayal swirl around. In a world where ideals and justice are easily trampled upon, adventurers continue to fight, armed only with magic and conviction.

This is a story of those who have lost their place in the world and find a new way of life. Rain and his companions’ carefree and unrestrained second lives begin now!
